And just like that, we are on to week 3 of the One Room Challenge. If you aren’t sure what in the world I’m talking about, you can catch up here… Week 1 and Week 2.
Here’s a sneak peek of the laundry room walls. I lightly traced my homemade stencil on the walls so I would know where to paint. I am going for more of a hand drawn pattern than a perfectly aligned wallpaper pattern.

This stencil project is way more time intensive than I thought it would be… and I thought it would take a ton of time.
I’m tracking my time by the number of podcast episodes I’ve listened to while painting. Let’s just say I’ve already surpassed 16 episodes and I’m not done painting. I’m starting to second guess my “no wallpaper in the laundry room” plan. But also, the previous brick red paint took a while to cover. We also painted the ceiling with a fresh coat of SW Greek Villa after removing the popcorn ceiling.
And there’s still more to paint. Send help.
Next week I hope to have a fully painted room update for you, and we will be ripping up the flooring to lay down new LVP oak flooring. I am so looking forward to saying goodbye to the ugly flooring!
Here’s one more Before and After (well, in progress) photo:

I hope you have an awesome week! Would you sign up for an 8-week home challenge like this? Let me know in the comments…
