Whew. The 8- week laundry room refresh is done!

We had some setbacks with mold and back ordered items, but still made progress and transformed this room in 8 weeks.
Here’s where we started…

And here’s what the laundry room looks like today …

I’d love to have a new washer and dryer, and I’m still looking for closed door storage for the area by the washing machine, but there wasn’t enough time to purchase those things this week.
Because we found mold when we ripped up the old linoleum floor, we lost about a week of work fixing that issue before we could lay new flooring.

This week, we:
- Finished building the shelves
- Painted the shelves
- Added lighting under the top shelf
- Nailed trim (plus filled the holes and touched up paint)
- Swapped out outlet covers, light switch covers, door knobs, hinges, and a floor vent cover
- Hung a curtain rod and curtains
- Hung a new light fixture
- Hung a new drying rack
- Styled the shelves
Here are some more “after” photos…

And one last look at the before and after…

Next week I’ll have a budget breakdown and show you how I’ve organized the space. This week, I am going to relax!
A huge thank you to Linda for letting me join the One Room Challenge. It is definitely a challenge, but it feels so good to have another room in our home done! You can check out the other ORC room reveals here.
